The Carlisle Christian Chruch is a member of the Disciples of Christ denomination, based on the acceptance of Jesus Christ as the Son of God and on the principle of Christian unity.
We meet Sunday mornings to worship and spread the good news through our worship, Sunday School, and youth program.
Our church was founded in 1860, soon after the pioneer village of Carlisle was formed. As the town grew, so did the church, moving from locations in the school or in people's homes to its first building in 1868.
In over a century, the church has seen many improvements in its physical Structure. Its main asset, however, continues to be its loyal members. |
OUR MISSON STATEMENT
As disciples, together, we are called by Jesus, the Christ, the Son of the Living God, to nurture and deepen the spiritual maturity and Christian unity of the participants in the Carlisle Christian Church.
While acknowledging the filament of God's Table and for the blessing of all, we are compelled by the Spirit through worship, education, and fellowship, to bear witness and support the communities we represent, and to promote peace and comfort, while nurturing a place for spiritual renewal based on prayer and forgiveness through Jesus Christ Our Lord. |
